Peter Nelson, M.D.
Peter Nelson, M.D. is an assistant member of the Division of Human Biology at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, Washington. He holds adjunct faculty appointments at the University of Washington in the Departments of Medicine, Pathology, Molecular Biotechnology and Neurosurgery. Dr. Nelson is trained in the field of medical oncology and his research focus centers on identifying molecular alterations that are associated with the development and progression of prostate carcinoma. Specific areas of interest center on characterizing the network of genes regulated by the androgen receptor and developing approaches for characterizing cellular responses to chemotherapeutic compounds including agents falling under the category of Complementary/Alternative Therapy.
