Kevin Jenkins
Kevin brings experience as a well-seasoned biller and collections specialist. He has been involved in billing since 1987 and has become proficient in recovering receivables and office management. He earned a bachelor's degree in Sociology at California State University of Los Angeles in 1985. In addition, Kevin has worked many years as a billing and collections consultant for various hospitals all across the United States. His ambition in life is to help anyone at anytime in any situation. |

Peter Cheng
Peter joined the team at USRF in September, 2002 as the Network Administrator and a Clinical Research Associate . He graduated in December 2001 from UCLA with a degree in Biology and multiple minors in Computer Science and Business Administration. Having been employed previously as a Network Administrator at UCLA External Affairs, he brings to USRF strong computer networking skills and desktop support as well as a solid background in clinical research from his previous research experience at UCI Medical Center. |

Maria L. ("Malu")
Macairan, M.D.
As Clinical Research Coordinator, Malu is in charge of all day-to-day operations at USRF. She brings to the foundation a rare blend of comprehensive medical background, extensive research experience, and great warmth and compassion. She earned her medical degree at 23 years of age, the youngest in her class, and she was in private practice for three years before dedicating her professional life to biomedical research. She came to USRF in 1996 from a key role as research coordinator for the Cardiology Department at USC Medical Center. During her spare time, she is a voracious reader of adventure novels, finishing one or more every week. |

Shamim M. Baker
Getting a jump-start early in the medical profession, Shamim attended Bravo Medical Magnet High School where she trained as CNA. After graduating with honors at Bravo Medical Magnet, she furthered her interest in the medical field, studying biology at University of California at Santa Barbara. While attending UCSB, she volunteered at Cottage Hospital working in emergency room and pediatrics. She also physically trained in the AIDS Marathon, and assisted at the multiple Sclerosis Walks. Currently she is pursuing to become a mentor for the Fulfillment Fund assisting inner city children with their academic studies. In the future, she plans to continue her studies obtaining a masters degree in public health care. |
